WHAT IS CUBAL?
The China University Basketball Association League (CUBAL) is the premier intercollegiate basketball competition in China, contested by hundreds of universities across eight regional divisions. Founded in 1995, it has grown into a nationally televised platform that serves as the primary talent pipeline between youth basketball and the professional CBA.
Each season runs from October through March, with regional qualifying rounds culminating in a national championship bracket in which the country's top 16 university programs compete for the CUBAL title. Players who excel at this level attract CBA scouts and, increasingly- international attention.
