BMX FREESTYLE AT PARIS 2024: CHINA'S PODIUM PUSH
2024年巴黎奥运会BMX自由式：中国冲击奖牌台
BMX Freestyle Park debuted at Tokyo 2020 and delivered some of the most spectacular action sports moments in Olympic history. Logan Martin's gold-winning run in Tokyo, a flair-to-barspin sequence that scored 93.30, set a new benchmark for the sport. At Paris 2024, China entered competitive women's park riders for the first time. The Chengdu national training center, established in 2021 with $12M in government funding, is producing the next wave. The 2028 LA Olympics is the clear target for China's first BMX freestyle medal.

Spinning the handlebars 360° while airborne. One of BMX's foundational aerial tricks. Can be done with or without grabbing the bars on the catch.

Flair
ADVANCEDFlair（后空翻旋转） · 高级
A backflip combined with a 180° rotation. Originated in BMX vert, now standard in park. Requires a solid backflip foundation and perfect timing on the rotation.

Tailwhip

Swinging the bike frame 360° around the headtube while holding the bars. A crowd-favorite trick visible at every level of BMX competition.

Two and a half full rotations (900°) in one air. Synonymous with Mat Hoffman who coined it in 1989. Still a benchmark of elite vert riding.
