China's skate scene exploded post-2020 Tokyo Olympics. Zeng Wenhui's bronze medal made skateboarding aspirational for a new generation. Municipal governments invested in purpose-built parks. Domestic brands like Anteater Skateboarding (食蚁兽) grew their local team rosters. Chengdu, an unlikely hub, developed an underground scene that spawned globally-followed video projects. Shanghai remains the capital, SMP Skatepark draws international pros and the city's marble plazas attract street filmers year-round.

Post-Olympics conversion project. The arena's outdoor plaza was redesigned into a multi-level skate zone with manual pads, ledges, and a quarter pipe bank.
